Daily Rehash on the Fly

Well...It seems that no one was scheduled to do the daily rehash for today (because of Linda Christensen's visit), so I took it upon myself to whip up a little blogalogue for the CAWP fellows to remember what exactly went on.

First of all, Keith treated us to a slide show, complete with music, to start our day and remind us of all the fun we had at the conservatory, especially lunch...and lunch...and lunch.

We found out we couldn't take any more pictures because the memory card was full!!! Yikes!!!!

Then Michele read more Natalie Golberg...this time from Thunder and Lightning, and asked everyone to try to use vivid description in their writing, to create a picture in everyone's mind.

Afterwards, everyone went off to write, although lots of folks are taking advantage of the computers (I think we think faster than we write!).

Another big hit, BTW, was Becca's birthday book! We were all looking up our birthdays trying to figure out if whoever wrote it knew what he was talking about or if it was just like the newspaper horoscopes that cast wide in hopes of catching something.

Then, oh my, Deb introduced us to Blogs! Wow! Cool! Crazy cool! She took us to her site http://www.cawpblogs.blogspot.com/and sent us all of to the computers to look at blogs and to create our own! Now we are a bunch of bloggers!!! Woohoo!!!! We even have a scrotch blog!!!

We went off to our reading groups, which seemed to double in size for some reason, to get caught up on Reading, Writing, and Rising Up for tomorrow's busy day (and thanx, Becca, for letting us know what was going on!). We are all looking forward to Linda's day.

Finally, we wrapped up with some sharing. Chapunga was definitely there...check out NWP Interactive Open Mic http://www.writingproject.org/cs/05ea/print/nwp_docs/346?sort=date&showperpage=10&sites=312, and we learned all about Kate's novel in progress AND Becca's mad dash in a thong (Sorry you boys weren't here to hear that!)!

So...that's it for today....
